A little singing bowl play time.

I just love getting to play my singing bowls. The peace that I achieve is overwhelming to me. This session was just a little play time for me, no real audience. I hope that you will love this session too. If you enjoyed the music, fantastic! If you can support an artist, please go to my website at http://www.myrealbodyoga.com/classes-and-events.html and click on the link at the bottom right section to donate. Thank you

Please enjoy this singing bowl session. My head was hurting so bad, a migraine was starting. Then I had tech problems, but somehow, I think it came out exactly how it needed to . May you be nourished by this session. If you feel moved to help a supporting artist, you can send a gift to me through paypal at myrealbodyoga@gmail.com  or click here!

Friday Night Singing Bowl Session

Share with me your insights!!

Ask Sandy
Earlier this year I dedicated the last Saturday of the month to share a singing bowl session to put kindness into the world.  WHEW, I had no idea how this would be so needed.

I now am offering my sessions weekly on Facebook, Youtube, Instagram and on this website to help you through this time.  Please enjoy.

I am a singing bowl artist, so if you would like to support my music, please consider paying $10 for the session.  If you can't pay, please enjoy anyway.

    I am here to help

Ask Sandy
In my newsletter this week, I spoke of finding a piece of myself that I didn't know I lost.  The email link is to the left of this email ( or scroll down if on mobile).

I heard news that my father was very ill and I needed to get to New York right away.  That is when the miracles started.  I didn't have the money to go, but put the request out there and many friends stepped in to make sure that I went to see my father.  I didn't know so many people loved me, honestly.  I know I help a lot of people but just had no idea that anyone noticed!

The miracles that happened in New York were a culmination of healings, seeing people, creating new relationships, walking down the streets where I was loved every day.  I got in touch with the girl I was , before the last 35 years of being told all I am not by many.  ( that isn't a self pity statement, it is what has happened and the losing myself was in steeling me from the next round of how awful I am . )  I stood where I was truly happy, without a care in the world, went past a former restaurant that is owned by a man who deeply injured me as a young girl.  Stood by my great grandmothers house, went to the church of my family and saw the glass window that was in my bedroom as a child.

Suddenly, I was more than the pain, the judgement, the loss.  I am a full person who has also had success, forgiven unforgiveable things, and built a life worth living.  I could touch the places where I was taught the lessons of living.

I went off the radar with my business for a while, shut down the webpages and went really deep inside to make sure I was living in the integrity I was raised with.  That is a part of the new launch, was finding my voice.

After I sent the email out, I picked up a book by Kay Christy, a friend of mine.  I opened to page 68 and here is what it said:

" True and Authentic Self

Today is the day for action
my thoughts , my body, and my emotions are in alignment, as I explore the essence of being my true and authentic self.

I ask for connection, expression and movement with joy.

I love life.
I love money.
I  love being free.

On this day and in this moment, I am free and express myself easily, happily, and energetically.

And so it is"

Yes, yes , yes......And so it is.

To In traveling through this time of change and reflection, I have  ( as many of you) faced some really trying times.  At the beginning, I didn't feel as if I had the strength to move through this time.  I remember watching the news the first few days when we all found out about the seriousness of the virus.  People began panic buying.  I came home, shivering from the inside out for days.  The first time in my life, totally alone and completely feeling terrified.  There was no one to turn to for help.

It was in those days that I turned to what had always worked for me, my program of recovery.  I turned to the readings, prayed,  took long deliberate steps through my day, worked on the yoga mat and through my breath.  Then the strength would come.  I would go to bed and have to do it the next day, and the next.  Until one day, it wasn't so hard any more.

That I found was my strength. Not in myself, but within the program that holds me. Both the program that has been gifted as well as the one I wrote.

Many people are still very, very afraid.  The drinking jokes may be funny, but there are more people overdosing and suicide calls to 911 have increased  almost  more than ever before. It is time to start taking mental health more seriously.  Time to fully discuss the impact of coping skills and how to utilize them in real time. To create community of caring that stays involved with each other, inclusive and with one purpose, to love their neighbor, that neighbor with mental health, that neighbor with addictions, that person who is different. It is time to build a different society.  One where mental health is a priority.

I have included two resources for you that have helped me during this time.  Lean in, ask for help. Your aren't as alone as you feel. If you are reading this blog, then you are one of my people.   I am here to listen and help guide you if I can.

I won't say stay strong.  I will say be strong in your ask for help. Being vulnerable is courageous.  Be real and you will grow during this time .  And you can.
